Hey everybody,

We have an amazing lineup, if you have good taste in music, you WILL find at least one band that you come to know, love, and follow.
Pinceone Productions LLC is proud to bring you The Swelly Life Tour featuring Chiddy Bang, Donnis, XV, 2am Club, with locals MyKynd and Theo Grams. Tickets are $15 in advance as well as Day of Show.
Breakout electro inspired hip-hop duo Chiddy Bang will bring the Swelly Life Tour to the Music Farm August 15th in support of their single “Opposite of Adults” which samples MGMT’s smash hit “Kids”.
Donnis, ATL’s hottest new artist adds a flare to the tour that is untouchable. His hit single “Gone” is a perfect introduction to the stylistic diversity Donnis has in store. Produced by Needlz (Lupe Fiasco, G-Unit, Ludacris), the cut is as much a look into the future of Atlanta hip-hop as it is a classic A-Town ride-out.
XV may be the best rapper you‘ve never heard of, hailing from Kansas. XV has been simmering just below the surface of hip-hop stardom since his debut album Complex in 2006. His most recent work, Everybody‘s Nobody, will serve as a comprehensive introduction to anyone brand new to the world of XV, and as a compelling teaser to the album for long time fans. Charleston, meet Kansas‘ great rapping hope.
2am Club’s tunes on RCA Records weave together pop, hip-hop, funk and rock, and they’re are all about having a good time. They are now readying the summer release of their debut album, featuring the single ‘Worry About You.’
Don’t forget about the GRAND after party at NV dance lounge on Market Street above Henry’s. Come have yourself some $2 drinks and hang out with the artists!

We’ll have our beach volleyball court setup as usual, as well as spikeball, cornhole and our 18 hole disc golf course. Catering will be provided by Savory who will be selling scrumptious lunches for a modest $5. Redbull will be providing free energy drinks all day. Trophy Lakes is dog friendly so you don’t have to leave your furry friend or his leash at home. Wakefest is sponsored by Trophy Lakes, The Pier, InkahootZ, Follywood productions and Extra Attic.
BALLYHOO!, hailing from the small Maryland town of Aberdeen, formed in their early high school years. Crafting a sound all their own, mixing pop, rock, reggae and punk rock, their self-released “Do It For The Money!” really put the band on the map. Since, the band has been touring the country nonstop for the past couple of years, spreading their music from coast to coast. Completely on their own, they’ve managed to sell over 6,000 full copies of their self-released CDs and more than 50,000 digital tracks.
Mike Pinto has crafted an exceptional style of songwriting, with a truly unique take on Roots, Vintage Rock, Reggae, Ska and Classic Surf, but it’s his distinct voice and seamless storytelling that has brought him success both in the States and overseas. With the release of his debut album (Little District, 2005), Pinto began his attack on the Philadelphia music scene as a solo artist. By 2006, underground success and a rabid growing fanbase allowed him to expand westward with two nationwide solo acoustic tours. After the second tour, Pinto decided to relocate to San Diego where he immersed himself in the thriving Southern California music scene and quickly gained a name. The infectious sound garnered so much attention that Insomnia Radio added his single “One More Time” amidst a hard hitting compilation of the SoCal sound’s brightest groups including DI and Slightly Stoopid, with the members of which Pinto often uses as his supporting band.

So a few days ago I posted about the Blue Angels coming to town here in Charleston, South Carolina. Today they performed their final show over the city and harbor and they pulled out all the stops. Watching from the roof of a parking garage, I took some video clips of the action to share with you all. The quality is not the best in the world but you can really see some cool action in some of these shots.

For more info on the Blue Angels in Charleston check out my post from last week, Blue Angels Shake Up Charleston.
Yesterday afternoon Charleston, South Carolina got a taste of the Blue Angels as they practiced above the city for this weekend’s airshow. Professors at the College of Charleston had to wait impatiently while the daredevil team raced across the skies and left sonic booms in their wake. I eventually climbed on top of my roof to get a better view of the show. It was amazing to see these pilots show their stuff over this generally quiet and peaceful southern city.
If you have never seen the Blue Angels fly, like me two days ago, I must say that it is incredibly cool and makes you feel proud to be American. There is just something undeniably awesome about five super jets, flying wingtip to wingtip, in a triangle formation, doing a fully inverted loop in perfect synchronization, flying at 200-300 MPH! The acrobatics continued for about 3 or 4 hours before the team called it a day.
All of the Charleston low country is looking forward to their harbor display this weekend. The show is free so all you need to do is pull up a chair (or a boat), grab your trusty cooler, and watch these ace fliers show us what it means to be the best of the best Air Force in the world! Citadel graduate Greg McWherter in now the commander of the Blue Angels. The Post and Courier, a local charleston newspaper, reports that, “Eighteen years have passed since Greg McWherter saw Charleston. On Thursday, his view was from hundreds of feet up, tucked into the cockpit of his F/A-18 jet.” (The Post and Courier: View From Above)
We salute the Blue Angels and their commander for rocking the earth of this humble city. The grace and precision with which they flew was breathtaking, and that was just practice! If you are in the area, I hope you will check out their air show this weekend over the Charleston Harbor. If you are elsewhere, I might try to take some video footage for you to check out.
Yesterday night, my good friend Adam McConnaughhay of Adam Bomb Brewery, hosted a beer tasting party for his friends and fans in Charleston. Adam had been micro-brewing his own beers for quite some time now and his new batch of hooch is quite delicious. His gathering last night created a buzz around his four new beers and I decided to do a review on each of them for history’s sake.
The Cherry Bomb: The beer that started it all for Adam Bomb Brewery. This mild beer was brewed with a hint of natural cherry flavor. It has a light head with a smooth finish. Adam has perfected his recipe for this one over several batches.
October Crisis: Definitely the favorite of the night! This beer came out absolutely perfect. A medium body with ample head and a subtle hoppy flavor. Boasting a super smooth finish with a perfect bite that says, “just wait for the next one.”
Firecracker: This beer was Adam’s rendition of a light American Lager. It had a light flavor with a silky texture. It achieved what every light American beer would like to be, tastey, drinkable, and moderately alcoholic.
The Brown Bomber: My personal favorite, this beer sounds like it tastes. Heavy on the flavor end with a serious head to finish. This one was loafy and thick, just how a real beer drinker likes it. It was a bit more carbonated than intended, but after you let it settle it was sooooo delicious!
Look forward to more from this backyard brewery, Adam intends to bring his product to market in the near future. if you would like more information about how to get your hands on some Adam Bomb Brewery Beer, Check out Adam’s Facebook Page.
So here I am, a month into the launch of generationbinary.com. The website is a great success, and I proudly to announce that I was the winner of best best website design in Bin Pan’s Information Systems Management class. Thanks to Dr. Pan, this idea has come together better than I ever expected.
My Birthday party was off the chain! Thanks to all of my friends who came and enjoyed that special night with me. Apparently it got a bit too rowdy for South End Brewery… I apologize to all of the people who were not allowed upstairs. There are some interesting stories floating about regarding what made SEB decide to shut us down; from falling beers to aggravated assault WTF! All else considered, the food was great, the bar tender was chill and the music went on until I turned 21.
The next day I flew to New York be with my family. We had a delicious dinner in the City at a Mexican joint that had tequila and margaritas flowin non stop. Me and my sister Sarah had a fun time running around the city getting more and more hammered along the way. I’m sorry we couldn’t make it to Tiesto, I know he has a new album out, but the night proceeded and with some luck we stumbled home around 4:15 or so.
The holiday of Yom Kipur was a deeply moving and cleansing experience as always. I have such love and respect for my family, and I give them my thanks for providing everything that i take so often for granted. I should have been studying that weekend, last week was loaded with tests and complicated assignments. However, I felt it important to set a precedent of my religious life and my professional life by choosing to leave my rowdy Charleston lifestyle, on my birthday, to celebrate, and fast, and pray with my family.
On a lighter note, I return to my original inspiration, the reason you may still be reading at this point. I have been workin with some new gear in the studio. Just wait until you hear this sub bark out some dirty bass next time you catch a set… Lend an ear for me on some of these and take a listen to the changes I made. It really makes a difference once you can hear the entire mix with some high power low frequency equipment. I put a new track on the download page as well so check out Emerald Green- feat. influenCE. If you have suggestions about this song were still working on the final version so speak up and we’ll respond.
I’ll be at ya like a supernova,
~Gordo
