The Gypsm Set by Generation Binary
The Gypsm set is the progressive lounge-house remix that will make you groove your body and soul. I have remixed an eclectic group of songs from some of my favorite artists to put together this mixtape for you to enjoy. Some of the musicians featured include St. Germain, Thievery Corporation, Quantic, Hook and Sling, Sound Tribe Sector 9, and Pretty Lights.
Music is a passion that will always drive me in life. I thank you all for appreciating my art and the art of all those musicians who have changed the world with their sound. Keep hunting those sounds, in the end you have to face the music sometime!
What up!
I am happy to announce the long awaited release of my new House Mixtape. There are some really great tracks in there for you to enjoy and share. Concentrating on the Deep House genre, this mixtape includes original remixes of top DJs and electronic artists which include; Tiesto, St. Germain, Robbie Riviera, DJ Shadow, Pretty Lights, ATB, Cafe del Mar, RJD2, and Daft Punk. I was originally going to put it directly on my website, but I had to upload it to SoundCloud because it was too large.
This set sounds so good out of a nice PA! Word up to all those promoters out there, I am defiantly available for gigs… And shout out to my friends who have kept me working hard all this time. I am currently trying to put together a show in Charleston, so keep your ear to the ground for more on that. Thanks for listening and if you like what you hear make sure to say something about it.
Love, Harmony, Wisdom…
PEACE

What up cyberspace,
For the love of music it is a wonderful day. I hope my friends out there are enjoying themselves, as you have just stumbled upon another Generation Binary post.
Now is a perfect time to voice my support for the recently passed health care bill. I would like to express my appreciation for those who worked so hard to pass this monumental legislation. Like everyone else I only hope that the implementation of these new policies is done with the same respect for life that inspired its creation.
If this is what change looks like then I am proud to live in the new America! I definitely do not believe it will be at all perfect now that we have passed this bill… but am thankful that our government did everything they could, in both parties, to get the voice of their constituents heard.
On a different note… The bass has been thumping at my house non stop for the last few weeks as the mixtape series begins to heat up. Bothersome neighbors and tired roomates make way for my electric thunder!! Maybe i will finally get a good quality recording done so you guys can hear what this shit actually sounds like (hint hint).
The Generation Binary continues…

I have just released my first official mixtape on generationbinary.com. There is a sample version available for anyone, and a full 35 Minuet version for promoters and potential clients ( and friends of course). I have worked really hard to provide a dynamic example of my House DJ skills for all of you to enjoy!
It is crazy hard on my computer to play this music and record it at the same time. I apologize for the poor audio quality on this track. It still sounds good, but it isn’t even close to what comes out of the speakers… I am working on improving my recording system to eliminate the background noise.
To my fellow DJs and musicians out there, I would appreciate any recommendations on how to improve the sound quality of recording my sets. I welcome feedback from anyone who gives this track an ear.
Stay tuned for the rest of my mixtapes in progress which include:
Electro-Lounge
Hip Hop
Top 40
Classic Rock
Dance
and much more!
Peace to all those who take the time to stop and face the music…

Sometimes in life the worst possible things you could imagine happen without warning. Adam Lockard, you are a teacher to those who will listen, a friend to those who will smile your way, and an inspiration to the world. I will miss the times we shared as age old friends. I hold your spirit in my prayers so that you may find that better place we all must seek when darkness falls. In your loving memory I have dedicated my new song, Adam’s Third Stone, to you buddy.
To all the incredible people that knew my friend Adam, I send my somber condolences. We all will remember this man, and his girlfriend Lucy, as genuinely life changing individuals. The pain may never leave, but the sadness fades only with the passing years. Everyone who has been touched by their lives know that we are better for it. Thank you for being my friend, and for loving your life every second of every day.
Last Tuesday was the debut show of Digital Dubsidian. I think it went really well. Austin rocked the drums all night while I layed down the new beats we have been working on. Thanks to all my friends who came out for the show. Tuesdays at O’Malleys is now Inkahootz night so check it out if you get a chance.
The crowd was limited but thus is the usual case on a Tuesday. It was too dark to video tape, and the sound quality from the recording was not good enough. We will work on getting it recorded in the studio when we can. Austin is also working hard with “A Band of Gypsies” so if you guys get a chance go ahead and check them out.
Stay tuned for samples of Digital Dubsidian coming soon to generationbinary.com. Check out the new tracks I have put up on the site and let me know what you think.
With love and respect,
Gordo
I am proud to announce that Generation Binary will be teaming up with Austin Parker for some serious Live Drum and DJ Action! Austin and myself have been jamming together for almost two years now. His precision beats and breakneck speed are the perfect complement for my progressive digital style. We plan to start playing gigs around town next semester so look out and listen up.
Last weekend we had our debut show at Marks BASSment party. Well, 5 minuets into the sound check good old Johnny Law showed up to ruin the fun. Too bad! We tried to keep it quite but still have some fun with the people who showed up. Even with one speaker, no sub, below setreo volume, and soft jazz drumsticks, the cops still returned and asked us to keep it down. (they said that it was quiter than any party they ever busted but the neighbs were apparently complaining like woah. So we waited for an hour or so of frustrating silence. Evenetualy we busted out some accousic instruments just for the love of music. Even with a xilophone, accoustic guitar, and super light djembe, the cops returned to shut us down once again.
What did we learn from all this you may ask? Its time to move into the venues! The tracks were droppin and the jams were getting into are just too tight, too dirty, and too ill to be contained in any private residence. The time has come for us to start rocking bars and venues of Charleston right.
Stay tuned my friends, the mysterious ways of life can guide us in the right direction, but only you can transcend your limitations and reach for the stars.

Its been two incredible weeks for Generation Binary’s performance career! Thanks to Inkahootz, Merch Underground, and some helpful friends, I have achieved my goal of two performances this month. My debut event was held at Merch Underground during the design walk and happened with very little notice. In fact, I only had about an hour to get everything ready to play, pack up, head to Merch, and put everything back together before the show started. Despite the close cut timing, I managed to be playing within 45 minutes of the call! I had allot of fun playing a mix of classic rock, reggae, traditional electronic, and some of my progressive original material. People moseyed in, listened to some tunes and had a good time looking around the store. A big thanks to Mark and Ben, two of the leaders of Inkahootz, and Merch Underground, for giving me the chance to hold my first public performance!
Yesterday was the second performance this month and brought a much more substantial audience that was more receptive to my normal style of music than most of the Chralestonians and tourists who were on the design walk last Thursday. Thanks to everyone who came out to Ledeux’s crib for the Pre-Ghostland Observatory (they rocked the farm out!!!) BBQ and Keg fiesta! It was nice to finally get some people moving to my music beyond my circle of friends. I got allot of compliments on my set list, despite some unplanned additions and changes. I’m still working hard to feel out what a crowd wants to hear and give you what you want, so please leave some comments on any songs you want to me to mix up for next time. I saved allot of my original material for another day because it has yet to be perfected for performance scenarios, but I played some of my best ones. I got a great response to the Eoto (Atlantis-115) remix, Shoot From the Hip, Blue-Nine, and especially the new and improved Totem-Pole. I am working to perfect the dance-ability of some of my other tracks so be sure to keep up with the download page and let me know what sounds good and what still needs work.
Wow, this post got long… I should get back to my homework.

So I have had the opportunity to hear all of Gordo’s new sounds, I have to say they are pretty awesome. Just today in class one of his original pieces popped into my head, strange how songs can be carried through the airwaves without a sound… It’s been really cool though to see the progression of his music since he started about 5 months ago. Everything has gotten a lot tighter, and more dancable. Get ready to get DOWN!
Anyway, I hope everyone is excited to hear. He has done some pretty creative stuff with not only the beats that he’s personally assembled, but some really cool mixed beats as well. One word to describe one of his latest? Interstellar rythms. Sounds crazy but his sound is out of this world, literally.
Leave it to DJ Gordo to bring us a symphony of sounds with a baseline that threads us all together on the dancefloor.
