Ready for two new bangers from Beta Minor??? Check these two hotties out…

Easy Choice by Beta Minor

Easy Choice is a Jam N’ Bass track, featuring live vocals and guitar with a classic DnB feel. Jamtronic with a glitcy finish, I hope you enjoy because all of the recording took forever to capture the live parts.

The Grade – Live Mix by Beta Minor

The Grade – Live mix is as close to traditional dubstep as I usually get. If you love the bass you’ll dig this track. Live vocals recorded by yours truly in the studio. ALL MY SOUNDS ARE ORIGINAL, NO SAMPLES OF OTHER TRACKS NO BULLSHIT!

Generation Binary is proud to present our newest music project, Beta Minor. Upon returning to the D.C. area, “Gordo” from Sonoplex started fresh with Beta Minor. After Months of secretive work in the studio, Beta Minor has begun to release original music at long last.

Sonoplex is happy to announce the addition of our newest band member, Kevin Djordjevic. An extremely talented musician and close friend, Kevin brings allot to the table. His proficiency with stringed electric (Bass and Guitar) instruments is masterful, and his deep connection with rhythmic patterns makes him a perfect addition to Sonoplex.

Listen to us jam on the newly released Fraction.
Kevin on lead guitar, myself on Beats / Djembe / Bass whomp / glitch pads, Max on synths, and Davis on Drums.

Fraction by Sonoplex

Originally this song was released when I still was doing a solo project in 2009 a.k.a “Generation Binary”. On a side note, as it turns out, that was a horrible name for a DJ / Musician, but a great name for a business (hence Generation Binary, LLC and Generation Binary Blog)!

At the beginning of the Summer of 2010 I started jamming with Max and Davis on some of my tracks, we were impressed with how well we all worked together. When I returned from my trip to Central America, we got together and started jamming some of our first real songs (New Derivative, Fraction, and Sunshine).

Now after months of playing together, we have decided to bring in one last individual to complete the project, Kevin Djordjevic. Our first live performance together will be in Columbia, SC at the Brightsound Bassment on February 24th. Were looking forward to sharing the stage with The Git Down Crew, and The Polish Ambassador!

We have a ton of shows coming up so “Like” our facebook page for updates on our full schedule.

New Release: Smoke Ring

December 28th, 2010

Smoke Ring by Sonoplex

Enjoy our new track! Come see our debut show Saturday, January 8th, at O’malley’s Bar and Grille in Charleston, SC.

Peace!

The Kracken by Sonoplex

Sonoplex is the musical brain child of three talented musicians in Charleston, SC. This band represents a dynamic fusion of live instruments and digital sound manipulation. Benjamin Gordon, Max Cobb, and Davis Goforth each bring their own musical expertise to this exciting new project. Benjamin Gordon plays guitar, hand drums, digereedoo, and runs the master mix through several audio processing programs. Max Cobb plays several analog and digital synths, as well as viola, and puts his expert knowledge of musical composition to the limit. Davis Goforth is a drumming machine and more, laying down live percussion that pumps the beat and drives the crowd wild. Max and Davis were two of the musicians in the band Manic Motion and have been playing music together since they were young. If your looking for a fresh, live, and progressive sound, check out Sonoplex.

Green Stock Picks: Trina Solar

October 20th, 2010

I apologize for my recent lack of blogging, I have been crazy busy these days. I have decided to focus my writing from now on analyzing Green companies that show true promise in the market. This week I will be taking a look at Trina Solar (TSL), a global company with manufacturing based in China.

A quick look at their financial fundamentals reveals a company poised for growth and significant gains. Here is an excerpt from their website’s investor page.

Second Quarter 2010 Financial and Operating Highlights
– Solar module shipments were approximately 223 MW, compared to the
Company’s previous guidance of 200 MW to 205 MW, representing an
increase of 15.7% sequentially and 248.7% year-over-year
– Net revenues were $370.8 million, an increase of 10.1% sequentially and
147.2% year-over-year
– Gross margin was 32.1%, above the Company’s guidance of high 20s in
percentage terms, compared to 30.9% in the first quarter of 2010 and
27.4% in the second quarter of 2009
– Operating income and operating margin were $83.3 million and 22.5%,
respectively, compared to $76.0 million and 22.6%, respectively, in the
first quarter of 2010
– Net income was $38.7 million, which includes a net foreign currency
exchange loss of $29.2 million, compared to net income of $44.5 million
in the first quarter of 2010
– Earnings per fully diluted ADS were $0.52, which include the impact of
a net foreign currency exchange loss of $0.37 per fully diluted ADS,
compared to $0.66 in the first quarter of 2010

Sounds to me like this company is in a position to expand as the demand for solar technologies continues to rise around the world. Keep watching the price of oil related to this stock. If oil skyrockets it will already be too late to invest! Looking back at the history of this company’s financial performance reveals a resistance to market fluctuations that have hurt other solar providers. Now their business world-wide continues to expand at a significant rate as the economic situation begins to stabilize in the global energy markets.

OAK Lounge Mix 2010 by OAK

Sometimes, with good news, there is bad. This weekend I was in an serious surfing accident and spent the afternoon in the hospital. I received 15 stitches in my face and it hurt like all hell. If not for my friends Max and Jinny Cobb, I would have been alone and helpless during that process. Thank God I am ok, my face will heal without too much scaring over time. When we face mortality our souls are tested, and I will persevere through the hardship and pain with steadfast love for life.

I love you all, see you at O’Malley’s!

Good luck to all those programmers that won’t sleep until Digg v4 is running more smoothly. For now I find a mild bemusement when these funny little screw up messages pop up. I like the new DIgg platform. It its intuitive and sexy, just clear out all the bugs and it will be perfect.

I would have left this one alone and not bothered, but 26 is my lucky number. Frankly, there is some serious significance to the number 22.6 in my life. So be it, and if you must know, the roots of the sacred number 26 go back to The Kabalah.

Bueno Suerte Amigos!
